Halloween Postponed Today, Big Holiday Event Saturday at Heavenly Farms

The township will sponsor Trunk-Or-Treat Saturday at Heavenly Farms. Roads and sidewalks are still to dangerous to walk around on.

East Brunswick is postponing Halloween for today and will instead sponsor a Trunk-Or-Treat Event Saturday at Heavenly Farms.

East Brunswick Mayor David Stahl and Deputy Chief William Krause, the East Brunswick Director of Public Safety, said safety concerns for trick or treaters are too great to allow pedestrian or motor vehicle traffic throughout the town.

“We are still experiencing widespread power outages, downed live power lines, fallen trees and downed utility poles,” said the statement. “As well, roads and sidewalks are still covered with a considerable amount of storm debris making walking unsafe.
