Lemonade Stand to Help Fight Cancer

Visit Audrey Shelley and help Alex's Lemonade Stand from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Quench your thirst and help a good cause today (Sunday) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. by visiting Audrey Shelley at the front of her house.

Audrey, 9, is holding an “Alex’s Lemonade Stand” this weekend and so far has raised more than $300.

After seeing an advertisement for the charity, Audrey asked her father to hold the sale. Today’s sale will have coloring pages, prizes, tattoos, lemon cookies and, most importantly, cookies!

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) began with the front yard lemonade sale of cancer patient Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004). In 2000, 4-year-old Alex announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. Since Alex held that first stand, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a national fundraising movement, complete with thousands of supporters across the country carrying on her legacy of hope.
