Long Lines at Township Pump

The township tried to help residents last week by selling gas to be used in generators.

The line to buy gas from the township crawled along the municipal pond, behind the Municipal Building and into the parking lot last week.

After Hurricane Sandy left thousands without power and caused long lines at gas stations, East Brunswick decided to sell off it’s own supply to help residents fill their generators.

The program was for township residents only and customers could fill one 5-gallon can per household.
