Milltown Asks Residents to Conserve Electricity

PJM is advising energy users to conserve electricity whenever possible.

The Milltown Borough Police Department is asking borough residents to conserve electricty whenever possible due to expected high temperatures.

"PJM, our electric provider, has issued an energy consumption alert for June 20 and 21. They are requesting that all consumers conserve electric whenever possible, especially in the afternoon/early evening. This could be accomplished by turning up thermostats to 78 degrees, refraining from using large appliances like washing machines, dryers, or microwave ovens, and turning off lights when rooms are not occupied."
