"Milltown Magic" Promises Parade, 5K, Apple Pie and Fireworks
Milltown hosts a day long celebration for Independence Day on July 4, culminating in fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
East Brunswick does not hold a fireworks display for Independence Day, but township residents are invited to take part in neighboring Milltown's Independence Day celebration, which will include a day's worth of family activities.
"Milltown Magic" begins at 6 a.m. on July 4 with a fishing derby at the Milltown Rescue Squad building, 39 Washington Ave.
The day will also include a 5K run at 8:10 a.m., a 10 a.m. parade, rides for kids from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., an apple pie contest, a magic show and fireworks at 9:30 p.m. at Borough Park.
Admission to much of the day's events are free to the public, but wristbands must be purchased to go on the rides. Wristbands are $7 if purchased before July 4 and $12 on July 4.
