New Rotarians Installed in South River-East Brunswick Club

The Rotary Club of South River-East Brunswick installed a new slate of officers at its recent annual installation dinner at Ciro’s on Buckalew Ave in Monroe Township.

The new club president is Vikki Richardson of East Brunswick. Richardson is owner of Mad About Sweets in East Brunswick. She will serve on the board with past President Joseph Xerri, and President-Elect Ed Witt. Richardson also serves on the board of the East Brunswick Education Foundation.

Also elected were: Susan Yates, secretary; Ralph Latyschow, treasurer; and additional board members Frank Bastolla, Genette Falk, Darleen Gillespie, Ken Davis and Vince Capodanno. Also George Volk continues as Sergeant at Arms.

The Rotary Club is very active both locally and internationally in many programs, including student of the month and graduation awards at the local high schools, providing dictionaries to local third-graders, career day at Churchill Junior High School, Thanksgiving food distributions, Pedals for Progress, and support for other organizations including Shelter Boxes, Ronald McDonald House, Boy Scouts of America, and the local food banks, among others.

“We encourage local-area residents and businessmen and women to consider becoming a member of Rotary, as it is a great way to meet new people, make new friends and help your community. “ said newly minted President Richardson.
