NJ Transit is Reporting Two-Hour Delays on Northeast Corridor Line
There is no estimated time for repairs to be complete.
NJ Transit is reporting two-hour delays tonight on all Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast Line and Raritan Valley Line trains due to ongoing Amtrak signal and switch problems near Newark Penn Station.
Amtrak personnel are working on repairs, but there is no current estimated time for restoration.
NJ Transit tickets and passes will be honored on NJ Transit buses and private carrier buses into and out of the Port Authority Bus Terminal.

Also, some trains may be cancelled or combined.
Shortly before 3 p.m. this afternoon, Amtrak experienced a problem with signal feeds and switches, which control the movement of trains, near Newark Penn Station. As a result, trains must now stop and receive verbal permission to proceed in order to ensure safe operation.
