How did Irene impact you? Send us your photos and feedback.

Tuesday marks the first anniversary of Hurricane Irene making landfall in New Jersey.

In East Brunswick, the storm dumped 6.83 inches of rain with winds of 61 mph and brought in a tidal surge of seven and a half feet from the Raritan/South river.

As a result, about 400 trees were knocked down, and 143 people were evacuated from their homes leading up to and during the storm. Flooding affected numerous homes, businesses, and roads, including parts of Route 18.
