Power Lines, Trees Down, Traffic signals Out

The latest message from East Brunswick Township regarding Hurricane Sandy.

Here is the latest update from the township:

“Hurricane Sandy has impacted the community with significant power outages and fallen trees. The power outages have left many intersections with non-functioning traffic signals. In addition to the fallen trees and power outages, the nightfall is creating hazardous conditions. Again, East Brunswick Mayor David Stahl, Deputy Chief William Krause, Jr. and Office of Emergency Management Coordinator Austin Kosik request no vehicular or pedestrian traffic until further notice.

“Numerous streets are blocked by fallen trees and wires and will be handled as quickly and safely as possible. Crews are aware of many areas in town and are working as diligently as possible to mediate the problems.”
