Severe Weather on its Way

Expect some stormy weather tonight and into Sunday,

The National Weather Service has issued a sever thunderstorm warning for Middlesex until 10:45 p.m. tonight (Saturday).

At approximately 9:30 p.m. Saturday, the National Weather Service spotted a line of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 mph about 14 miles west of Trenton and 7 miles Northeast of Philadelphia. The storms were moving east at about 30 mph.

In addition, the National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for the area for Sunday morning through late Sunday night, and a hazardous weather outlook for the area with three inches of rain, thunderstorms and gusty winds expected.

The weather service is calling for scattered thunderstorms tonight with winds between 9 and 11 mph. On Sunday, mostly after 9 a.m., expect between three quarters and one inch of rain.

The rain is expected to get heavier throughout the day and into the evening with possible thunder and lightning. Expect a low of 48, with winds between 14 and 22 mph with gusts as high as 33 pm. We can expect between 1 and 2 inches of rain Sunday evening.
