Summer Heat Makes Stunning Return

Temperatures are expected to be near 100 degrees today.

Here comes the heat!

After a few days of pleasant weather, the summer heat is here once again, and the National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory from noon today (Friday) until 7 p.m. tonight.

Highs today will be close to 100 during the afternoon with the worst being felt by those who live and work in urban areas. Those who are at a greater risk include the elderly, sick, children and anyone without air conditioning, according to the weather advisory.

Expect a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10k a.m. today. It will be mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 97. While it’s expected to dip to about 70 during the night, high on Saturday will be near 96 again, 94 on Sunday, near 90 non Monday, and 88 on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, the Fourth of July, the high should be about 89, so head to the beach or pool and enjoy the day off!
