Take Control of Your Pet's Health

Just for the Health of It at the Library Provides Pet Health Information.

The East Brunswick Public Library just added a new audience to its Just for the Health of It website– our furry friends.  A new category called Pet Health was added to the library’s health portal, funded with a grant obtained through the National Libraries of Medicine in 2010 to promote community-wide good health and wellness. This new link empowers pet owners with the knowledge and resources they need to keep their pets healthy and long-lived members of the family.

By visiting www.wellinks.org, pet owners can have at their fingertips trusted resources to put them in control of their pet’s well-being.  Learn about pet health conditions from trustworthy sources such as the National Library of Medicine.  The new Pet Health section also links to places to obtain pet health insurance; where to find 24-hour emergency care; an online directory of veterinarians in New Jersey, searchable by specialty; healing and inspirational poetry to survive the loss of a pet; and pet loss grief support websites.

For more information on this event call 732-390-6767 or go to The Library’s website at http://www.ebpl.org and click on “News & Events.”
