Incumbents Sweep East Brunswick BOE Election

Brad Cohen, Holly Howard, and Curt Philipczak elected to serve another three-year term on the East Brunswick Board of Education.

Township voters chose to keep the same lineup of members on the East Brunswick Board of Education in Tuesday's general election, as all three incumbents won another term.

Current board members Brad CohenHolly Howard, and Curt Philipczak were reelected to serve another three-year term on the board, besting challenger Erum Shakir, according to the Middlesex County Clerk's office.

Howard was the top vote getter in the election with 5,700 votes, while Philipczak finished second with 5,045 votes and Cohen came in third with 4,764 votes. Shakir finished short of the third and final seat with a total of 3,306 votes.

The results are unofficial until certified by the county clerk's office.
