National Moth Week - Moth Night

The Friends of the East Brunswick Environmental Commission will kick off the the third


annual National Moth Week on Friday, July 18, with a Moth Night at Community Park, adjacent to Crystal Springs, on Dunham's Corner Road, East Brunswick. The event will begin at 8:30 p.m.

National Moth Week is a worldwide citizen science project started by the Friends of EBEC in 2012. It is celebrated across the United States and around the world. As of July 7, hundreds of events were registered in 49 states, the District of Columbia and in 32 countries.

In NewJersey, public events are scheduled in parks, nature centers, a college campusand other sites in nine counties. They include a range of activities forchildren and adults to learn about and find moths. Some events have fees orrequire registration. Contact the organizations below for more details.
