Chanty Jong shares her experience surviving Cambodia’s genocidal Khmer Rouge and her eventual escape and political asylum in the U.S. She relates her decade-long survival story, including her experience with Khmer Rouge policies, the Killing Fields, the children’s camp, the dangerous journey to freedom via a Thai refugee camp, two years of hiding underground and her capture and daring escape.
