Preserving Memories with Artistic Flair

Scrapbooking preserves personal and family history through photographs, printed media, and art. Join 4-H Scrapbook experts to start documenting your important personal moments.

4-H is a big part of our Rutgers Cooperative Extension family here in Middlesex County. In addition to 4-H Clubs that raise animals, enjoy remote control cars, or raise seeing eye-dogs..there are also a great deal of volunteers and club members who have artistic talents. One way you can introduce yourself to 4-H activities and meet some of your extremely crafty Middlesex County neighbors is to attend this upcoming workshop held at the 4-H Center. It will give you a chance to preserve some family memories as well as learn some great artistic techniques. Come alone, or with a group of family and friends.  Check it out..  

The public is invited to immerse in the art of scrapbooking at Middlesex County 4-H’s “Crop-Til-You-Drop” Scrapbooking Weekend, taking place on April 5th and 6th. The hours and cost are as follows:

Friday, April 5, 7-11PM    $5

Saturday, April 6

All Day Session  9 am – 10 pm  $40 Includes Meals & Refreshments

Session 1:         9 am - 3 pm   $25 Includes Lunch & Refreshments

Session 2:         4 pm - 10 pm $25 Includes Dinner & Refreshments

This event will take place at the 4-H Log Cabin, 645 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, NJ and will benefit the Middlesex County 4-H Association.

Come crop for a few hours on Friday night, leave and return on Saturday to ‘Crop Til You Drop’! Your work from Friday night will be waiting for you Saturday morning when you walk in the door! Sign up to bring a dish to share and save $5 off on Saturday. Proceeds will support Middlesex County 4-H, a local youth development program.

Register & pre-pay by Friday, March 29th. Group tables will be assigned to those that RSVP and pre-pay their registration fee only on a first come, first served basis.

Scrapbooking preserves personal and family history through photographs, printed media, and art. Whether you’ve entertained the idea of starting a scrapbook or are in the midst of one, experts will be on hand for guidance.

The event will enable guests to get tips from people skilled at this popular and crafty method of preserving memories. Bring photos and scrapbooks and you will have a quiet space to work on your projects, as well as inspiration and ideas from fellow scrap bookers.
