A Fourth Grader's Essay Inspired by Animal Rescue

Liana Morgan fosters homeless dogs until they can be adopted by loving families. So far, she has cared for 40 of them. 

Her nephew William Cassotis, 9, has been observing this act of kindness for years. When his East Brunswick teacher assigned the class to find personal meanings in the lyrics of a song of their choice, he chose “In the Arms of the Angel,” by Sarah McLachlan.
