Annual East Brunswick Trunk-or-Treat Returns Sunday

Thousands expected at Trunk-or-Treat Halloween celebration on Oct. 27 at Heavenly Farms.

East Brunswick and the Department of Recreation, Parks and Community Services will host its second annual Trunk-or-Treat Halloween celebration on Oct. 27 at Heavenly Farms/Dideriksen Park from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Parking will begin at 12:30 p.m., as all vehicles must enter from Dunhams Corner Road onto the Heavenly Farms Access Road. There will be no access from Cranbury Road.  

Attendees should follow all signs and the directions from traffic officers.  A separate parking area will be designated for residents who open their trunks to hand out candy.

There will be an additional parking area will be set up for people who just come to trick-or-treat. All children must be accompanied by an adult.  

Motorists are urged to drive slowly and carefully, as there will be many excited kids in the area.  But also, don't forget to bring lots of candy.

Along with the trunk-or-treat event, there will be a Halloween food drive to benefit the Community Food Pantry. The first 1,000 kids to bring a canned or boxed non-perishable food item to donate to the pantry will receive a free trunk-or-treat bag from East Brunswick Recycling – Clean Communities.
