Morganville Lawn Fertilization & Weed Control - Healthy Lawn

Central NJ Lawn Care Services

Maintaining and establishing thick turf is not only eye appealing and adds curb appeal to your home – it’s also beneficial to the environment and the only true organic weed control. Maintaining and establishing a thick healthy turf stand through a controlled fertilizer program and aerating and seeding will help keep weeds out of your lawn.  Weeds are opportunistic and lazy, do not like competition and only germinate in thin, weak and stressed areas. A thick healthy turf stand is also good for the environment as it helps stop erosion and acts as a filter for stromwater runoff. This helps prevent some toxins from entering local watersheds. Thick, healthy turf also “scrubs the air” around your home by extracting certain impurities and replacing them with pure oxygen.

Our fertilization and weed control program consists of the following applications:

Early Spring Treatment

A blend of nutrient rich fertilizer to bring the roots out of winter dormancy and provide green up. A pre-emergent crabgrass control will be applied unless warm season turf is present (zoysia or Bermuda) or shade conditions will be present during the growing season.

Late Spring Treatment

A balanced blend of nutrient rich fertilizer to promote root growth and added iron to help promote deep green color in turf. A pre-emergent crabgrass control will be applied unless warm season turf is present (zoysia or Bermuda) or shade conditions will be present during the growing season.  Broadleaf weed control.

Summer Treatment

A blend of nutrient rich fertilizer to give roots a deep feeding to withstand drought, heat stresses and insect pressures during the hot and dry summer. Post emergent crabgrass control. Nutsedge control and broadleaf weed control will be applied provided temperature and humidity levels will allow uptake of product into plant.

Early Fall Treatment

A blend of nutrient rich fertilizer with added phosphorus to accelerate new germination from fall seeding and stimulate cell development within existing turf. Broadleaf weed control.

Late Fall Treatment

A blend of nutrient rich fertilizer with added potassium which the roots will store as carbohydrates providing the roots with food during winter dormancy allowing a quicker spring green up.

Lime Treatment

Lime will help reduce the acidity of the soil bringing it to a more neutral range to allow better catatonic exchange between roots and nutrients in soil.

Grub & Insect Control

This application is specifically targeted to provide season long protection from all types of grubs. Grubs can damage the turf roots by chewing them as they move through the soil. This application will also provide limited control of surface feeding insects, such as chinch bugs, sod web worms, and aphids.
