Milton. We don't know what Milton is—we are guessing cairn terrier and Boston terrier.  He weighs about 25 pounds, is very friendly and very strong.  He likes other dogs.  He will be neutered by the weekend.  To adopt him will cost $250, which includes his neuter, shots, heartworm test, ID chip. Milton will be at the Englishtown Auction, 90 Wilson Road, Englishtown, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (located in the big gray building). Check the ARF website on Saturday and Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. to see if anything has changed.

Emma may be what people are calling Chiweenies, Chi/doxie mixes. She is only 3 years old and is a little misunderstood, as most Chihuahua's are. She was turned into a high-kill shelter because she "bit someone" supposedly as she is food aggressive and had bitten someone who tried to take her food away. Once you see her in person, you will completely understand why she is food aggressive. This poor dog is nothing but bones. You can count all her ribs and see her hip bones. She is now being fed three times to day so some weight can be put back on her. She is about 11 pounds now and should probably be 15. She seems OK with other dogs, but will probably need to be fed separately from them. However, she chases cats.

Emma shouldn't go to a home with young kids because of the food issue. She is terrified of men and will bark and growl at them, however she calms down after a while.

She is not housetrained and she seems as if she has never been outside before. She hates crates and although she goes in easily, she looks mean when inside, barking and growling because she wants out. Whoever had owned her had her puppy pad trained. Emma is spayed, current on shots, heartworm tested and micro-chipped. Emma will be at PetSmart on Route 18 in East Brunswick in the Midstate Mall shopping center Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Check the ARF website on Saturday and Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. to see if anything has changed.

Itsy is a 3-month-old Calico kitty. Itsy is adventurous, acrobatic and loves to explore. She is very affectionate and enjoys snuggling. Itsy has all its shots and knows how to use the litter box. Itsy also is used to being around a small dog. “I would love to go to a nice, calm home. Maybe with you - preferably along with my little sister, Bitsy, whom I love very much. We're kinda like the ‘inseparables,’ ” she said. Itsy will be at PetSmart on Route 18 in East Brunswick in the Midstate Mall shopping center Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Check the ARF website on Saturday and Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. to see if anything has changed.
