The series, which consists of free monthly educational sessions hosted by the physical therapists at Jersey PT, will begin with "Reaching High: Overhead Throwing Motion & Injury Prevention" on Monday, Aug. 19, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Milltown office.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ –Jersey Physical Therapy, located in Kendall Park, Milltown/East Brunswick and Plainsboro, recently unveiled its 2013 Lifestyle Enhancement Series schedule. The series, which consists of free monthly educational sessions hosted by the physical therapists at Jersey Physical Therapy, will begin with “Reaching High: Overhead Throwing Motion & Injury Prevention” on Monday, Aug. 19, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Milltown/East Brunswick clinic.

The topics for each workshop, according to senior therapist Avani Vora, PT, DPT, are lifestyle and athletic-based and were selected to empower the public to be more proactive regarding injury prevention, pain management and improved overall function and health.

“As physical therapists, patient education is our strength,” said Vora, a physical therapist with Jersey Physical Therapy for nearly six years. “When it comes to educating the public, this takes us to another level, providing a compassionate, structured and free environment where people can learn to take control of pain, performance and the prevention of injury.”
