Singing REM Songs at the End of the World

Mary returns for a quick blurb about the end of the world as we know it.... and we feel fine. :)

Every time that I hear that we are approaching the end of the world as we know it, I can't help but sing REM's"It's the End of The World..." and I have no doubt that, as you are reading this, most started to sing the song in their head. In any event, if rumors are true, the end of the world is scheduled to happen next Friday on 12-21-12 because that's when the Mayan calender ended. Whether you believe that the end of the world is imminent or not, it still begs the question of "What if?"

What if the Earth was going to stop turning and/or implode in just 1 week?

If the world is about to end as we know it, can you honestly say that you lived your best life? Can you honestly say that, when you look back on the life that you lived, that you feel like you lived a full and decent life?

It's a difficult question because most of us would say no. Most of us would beg for our lives to continue because we have so much more that we want to do. If that's the case, what's stopping you?

What is preventing you from living that fulfilling life? What is stopping you from living a happy life?

Those are the questions you need to ask yourself and give yourself an HONEST answer. Once you have the answer, then start to carve the path to getting to that fulfilling life because, whether or not the world is going to end next week, we still have ONE life to live. One life to exist and live our best life.

Why live that life in sadness and regret?

So when we wake up on December 22,  after you breathe that sigh of relief (because you know you will) take a moment, thank the universe or whomever you pray to for another day on this earth and start the path to your best self. Don't wait for January 1...

Make those changes now!

... and listen to a little REM on the way there.

Until next time, be well.
Namaste.
