Obit: Janet Lindgren

Lindgren died Dec. 12 at the age of 87.

Janet V. Sherry Lindgren died Dec. 12 at Easton Hospital, Easton PA. She was 87.

Born in New York City, NY, she grew up in New York City before moving to East Brunswick, where she resided for 58 years.

She was a registered nurse, having served as her class president during nursing school; she was the “neighborhood nurse” in her neighborhood in East Brunswick.

She was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church, Old Bridge, and was a member of the parish Rosary Society.

She was predeceased by her husband, Roy in 2011.

Surviving are two sons, Roy Jr. and his wife Karen Lindgren of Chicago, IL, and Roger and his wife Pat Lindgren of East Brunswick; four daughters, Janet and her husband Bob Riley of Clinton, Mary Ellen and her husband Roger Bradshaw of Atlantic City, Ruth O’Neill of Trenton, and Beth and her husband Jim Drumheller of Trenton; two sisters, Mary Buckridge of Florida, and Vivian Olsen of Virginia; eight grandchildren and two great granddaughters.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013 at  8 a.m. in the Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, followed by a 9 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge.  

Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.  Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to either the Wounded Warrior Project, 370 7th Avenue, Suite 1802, New York, NY  10001 or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, PO Box 1893, Memphis, TN  38101.
