Jeffrey Glen Currie was born September 14 1953 in Morganton NC to Ezell and Dolly Currie. He was baptized at an early age at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Drexel NC.
He graduated In 1971 from East Brunswick High School, East Brunswick NJ. He was loved by many, He loved to dress, everything had to coordinate, he was a very funny person, he had an exceptional deep voice just like Barry White. His favorite thing to do was watching old westerns on TV, so old that the horse always road around the same rock in each scene, most people called him by his nickname Mad Dog.
Jeffrey was a long time resident of South River, NJ he was employed by Blackstone Inc for 15yrs, until he fell ill in 1991.
He was predeceased by his Father Ezell Currie, a sister Vanessa Currie and a brother Ricky Grimes. Jeffrey leaves to cherish his memory, Mother, Dolly Currie of South River, NJ, 2 daughters, Danyell Marsh of Lakewood NJ, Monique Lane of Stone Mountain GA, one son Jeffrey Lane of Stone Mountain, GA, and Grandson Javon Noel, siblings Mary Chambers(Roy) of Morganton NC, Barbara Capers of Morganton NC, Cynthia Currie of New Brunswick, NJ, Celia North of New Brunswick, NJ, Kathy Warren of New Brunswick, NJ and Leona Brown(James) of South River, NJ and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and long time friend Tony Jackson.
Services will be at Union Baptist Church 76 Washington St. South River NJ. Viewing at 830am. Funeral at 930. Entombment will be at the Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick NJ. Services entrusted to Evans-Gordon Funeral Home 736 Clinton Ave Newark, NJ 07108
