Walter R. Dawson died Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Summerhill Nursing Home, Old Bridge. He was 77.
Born in Nantucket, MA, he resided in Staten Island, NY before moving to East Brunswick 47 years ago.
Prior to his retirement in 2000, he was a supervisor with the Auto Club of New York in New York City for 42 years.

He was an Army Veteran, having served during Peacetime, and was a member of the Brookside Swim Club.
He was a communicant of Corpus Christi RC Church, South River.

Surviving are his wife, Phyllis Sola Dawson; two sons, Matthew and Steven, both of Howell, and two grandchildren, Miles and Cole.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Nov. 4, 2013 at 10:15 a.m. in the Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, followed by an 11:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi Church, South River.
