Dolores V. Winters Zastocki, 80, died Monday, Oct. 15, at home.
Born in Jersey City, she resided in East Brunswick for 45 years and Palm Bay, Fla., before moving to Spotswood 14 years ago.
Years ago, she was a secretary with Triangle Conduit and Cable, and then she worked as a bookkeeper and business manager for Dr. Schwartz in East Brunswick. For the past 14 years, she has been the office assistant at American Properties Realty in Clearwater Village, Spotswood.
She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Spotswood, and was a former communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church, Old Bridge.
She was a member of the Old Bridge American Legion Post 177 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed painting, ceramics, knitting, and was able to play the organ by ear. She was well known in Spotswood by many as “Aunt Dolores.”
She was predeceased by her husband, Matthew Zastocki in 1996; a sister, Florence Crane in 2010; and by two nephews, Dennis Crane and Bryan Crane.
Surviving are three sons, Kenneth and his wife Linda Zastocki of Howell, Ronald and his wife Stephanie Zastocki of Old Bridge, and Gary and his wife Rene Zastocki of South Brunswick; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher, Ronald, Michael, Nicholas, Dana and Kelly; three great grandchildren, Ryan, Ariana, Tyler, and one on the way; several nieces and nephews, including three nieces that helped Dolores immensely, Colleen Barnemann, Diane Oresto and Janice Oppelt; and 11 great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 20, at 8 a.m. in the Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, followed by a 9 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
