Obituary: Dorothea Frascati

Frascati worked for more than 25 years as an executive secretary for the Turnpike Authority.

Dorothea J. (Johnson) Frascati died Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at the Eastern Star Home, Bridgewater.  She was 94.

Born in Yonkers, NY, she lived in East Brunswick for many years.

Prior to her retirement in 1983, she was an executive secretary for over 25 years with the NJ Turnpike Authority in East Brunswick. After retiring, she was the assistant to the secretary of the Eastern Star Home in Bridgewater for five years.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Raritan Chapter 58 in South River, and Sirius Chapter 123 in Matawan. She was a Past Matron of the Phila Chapter 216, and was a Past Grand Officer. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile Maalas Temple 20. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard A. Frascati in 1969, and by her son, Robert Anthony Frascati in 1998.

Surviving is a daughter, Rosalinda Frascati of East Brunswick.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. in the Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.

Interment will follow at Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 2-6 p.m. Sunday. Members of the Order of the Eastern Star will conduct services during the visitation at 4:30 p.m.
