Obituary: Longtime East Brunswick Women's Club Member

Barbara A. Brett died Sept. 3 at the age of 71.

Barbara Anne Heffernan Brett died Sept. 3, 2013 at home.  She was 71.

Born in Jersey City, she resided in Roselle before moving to East Brunswick 44 years ago. Prior to her retirement in 1997, she was a Registered Nurse at St. Peter’s University Hospital for 15 years.

She was a graduate of Holy Name Hospital School of Nursing in Teaneck, and received her BS Degree in Nursing from the College of NJ. She was a communicant of St. Bartholomew RC Church, East Brunswick, and was an active member of the East Brunswick Women’s Club.

Surviving are her husband, Harry Brett; a son, Harry and his wife Kendra Brett of Aurora, CO; two daughters, Kathleen and her husband Tim Mulqueen of Lakewood Ranch, FL, and Ellen and her husband Dolph Orthwien of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Frank Heffernan of Monterville, WV and Michael Heffernan of Slatington, PA; a sister, Ruth Owens of Metuchen; and four grandchildren, Trevor, Cate, Dolph and Spencer.
