Robert Guenther, Superintendent of Middlesex County Utilities Authority Passes Away

A funeral service will be held at 9:15 a.m. Monday at Rezem Funeral Home.

Robert H. Guenther died Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Pinebrook Care Center, Manalapan.  He was 93.

Born in Jersey City, he resided in Old Bridge since 1950.

Prior to his retirement several years ago, he was the superintendent of the Middlesex County Utilities Authority in Old Bridge for many years.

A Navy veteran of WWII, he was a former member of the Old Bridge American Legion.

He was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church, Old Bridge.

He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Kunz Guenther, three brothers, William, Clifford and Richard, and by a sister, Josephine Carmesin.

Surviving are a son, Dennis and his wife Elizabeth Guenther of Womelsdorf, PA; a daughter, Darlene and her husband Randy Fletcher of Lebanon, PA; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9:15 a.m. in the Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, followed by a 10:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas Church, Old Bridge.

Entombment with military honors will follow at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday.
