TV removal by township, not happening, You are on your own!! !!!!

I recently had the burden to dispose of a large heavy 36 inch TV .  I called the township, and was told they wont pick them up from the curb, and that they must be brought to the recycling center .  I even offered to pay a fee for them to remove it, and was told  NO. The township takes appliances like refrigerators, stoves etc. for free.  I had a very difficult time getting the TV there, hurting my back. This TV weighed over 100 pounds.  I had to borrow a friends van to do it. I had no help.I went to the office there and told the guy working there I had a large item to unload. I was not even offered a hand to do so.  Since we pay taxes for trash removal, I feel that it is the township's responsibility to remove ALL discards from residents. They should be picked up at the curb. Thank you.
