Driver in VFW Crash Ticketed

A crash in the VFW parking lot in June damaged the front of the building and sent four people to the hospital.

A careless driving ticket has been issued the driver involved in a crash in the VFW parking lot past month that injured four people and damaged the front of the building.

According to a report on NJ.com, Lt. Kevin Zebro of East Brunswick Police said Frank Russo, 89, of East Brunswick, was issued the ticket in relation to the incident, which happened on June 28.

Russo, of East Brunswick, allegedly backed his car into another car in the VFW parking lot, pushing it into two other vehicles, before driving forward and into the VFW building, injuring patron James Scudder, who was inside. Russo's vehicle then struck another car.

Following the accident, Russo, Scudder and Russo's two passengers were all taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
