Dutch Road Bridge to Close For Three Months For Construction

Construction begins Monday.

Construction will cause Dutch Road Bridge to be closed for the next three months, beginning Monday, East Brunswick Police announced Friday morning.

Blackrock Construction Company will be performing work on the Dutch Road Bridge between Concord Drive and Puritan Road on behalf of the Middlesex County Road Department on Monday.

Dutch Road will be closed between Concord Drive and Puritan Road for about three months.

Emergency vehicles and pedestrians will have access through the closed portion of the roadway via a 12’ access point.

All other non-essential vehicles must follow a detour to be put in place by the county and the East Brunswick Department of Public Safety and Department of Planning and Engineering.

The detour will encompass Dunhams Corner Road, Hardenburg Lane, and Fresh Ponds Road.
