East Brunswick Man Indicted on Charges of Wiretapping Co-Workers
Kirk Eady allegedly wiretapped fellow employees at the Hudson County Correctional Center, where he serves as director.
An East Brunswick man who works as Deputy Director of the Hudson County Correctional Center was indicted on one count of intentionally intercepting the wire, oral or electronic communications of others, according to the U.S. Attorney General’s Office.
Kirk Eady, 46, allegedly used a public web site to place phone calls to four Hudson County Correctional Center employees between March and July of 2012.
The site Eady used allowed him to "conceal the telephone numbers from where the calls originated and also call and record two people simultaneously and make it appear as those people, and not Eady, originated the call.

Eady recorded the conversations without telling the correctional center employees he was doing so.
He also allegedly admitted to a cooperating witness that he recorded conversations with three of his fellow employees.

Eady is facing is a maximum potential penalty of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
