East Brunswick Motorcyclist Killed in Hillsborough Crash

Accident closed roadway for about three hours Thursday night.

A 27-year-old East Brunswick motorcyclist died from injuries sustained in a crash late Thursday afternoon that shut down Amwell Road for about three hours.

Gregory Gentile was airlifted to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital where he died Thursday night, Hillsborough Police said. The police said the accident remains under investigation and no further information was available as of late Friday afternoon.

Joseph Kuhta, 79, of Bridgewater, was also taken to the hospital for injuries he sustained in the crash, which occurred Thursday at about 4:30 p.m.

According to the , Kuhta's Chrysler LeBaron exited the parking lot of Nelson's Corner onto eastbound Amwell Road when it struck Gentile's Kawasaki Ninja.

The crash closed Amwell Road between Route 206 and Willow Road until about 7:30 p.m.

The Hillsborough Police Department, Somerset County C.A.R. Team, Hillsborough Rescue Squad, Hillsborough fire companies, Somerset Medical Center Paramedics and a New Jersey State Police medevac helicopter responded to the accident.
