Missing Teens Found Near Krauszer's on Main Street

A Monroe teen and an East Brunswick teen were found after word about their disappearance spread quickly.

Police found two teens in the woods behind Krauszer’s on Main Street this afternoon, hours after the family of one of them alerted police, friends and the media.

“Thanks to the outstanding efforts of East Brunswick Police Department,” said Councilwoman Denise Contrino, whose niece Alyssa Garrettson was reported missing after she did not return home yesterday.

According to Contrino, Garrett, a 15-year-old from Monroe, and her friend, Doug Bessler, of East Brunswick, were last seen near Stewart’s on Main Street in East Brunswick at 8 a.m. Tuesday, April 9. The pair skipped school and never returned home.
