New Brunswick Police Looking For Suspect In High Street Robbery

From New Brunswick police:

The New Brunswick Police Department is investigating a robbery which has been reported to have occurred on Saturday at approximately 5:24 a.m on High Street between Hamilton Street and Somerset Street.

In this incident, a victim, unaffiliated with Rutgers, reported that while walking he was approached by a male who made a verbal threat and demanded personal property.

After taking the victim's property, the suspect struck the victim in the face and then fled on foot. As a result, the victim sustained a non-life threatening injury and was transported to the hospital for further treatment.

The description of the assailant is limited at this time. Anyone with information, or who may have been in the area at the time, is asked to please contact the New Brunswick Police Department at (732) 745-5200.
