Police Investigate Taylor Avenue Break-in

Churchill Junior High School conducted a "shelter in place" as police investigated the break-in on Monday

Police are investigating a break-in on Taylor Avenue that caused a "Shelter in place" directive to be carried out at Churchill Junior High School on Monday.

According to a Nixle alert from the East Brunswick Police Department, police responded to the home at 9:40 a.m. Monday for a report of a break-in and robbery.

A male resident at the home claimed that he was the only one home when he was woken by two males. They bound the victim at the ankles and wrists and forced him to give them money before "ransacking" the home, looking for more money and running away, according to the alert.
