Rescue on Ice

Area rescue workers took advantage of frozen lakes to hone their rescue skills.

With almost two weeks of freezing temperatures, rescue workers headed to frozen lakes in the area to hone their rescue skills.

At Farrington Lake, near Church Lane, fire fighters and rescue workers from East Brunswick and elswhere cut through the ice, put on wet suits and practiced water rescues in below freezing temperatures.
