Robbers Hit Unlocked Cars on Fresh Ponds

Police are investigating a series of break-ins that occurred Saturday, Sept. 22.

Bandits broke into five cars on Fresh Ponds Road during the early morning hours of Saturday, Sept. 22, according to police.

East Brunswick Police Units responded to Fresh Ponds Road on Saturday morning to investigate several vehicles that had been broken into sometime overnight. All the vehicles that had been broken into were left unlocked and parked in the resident’s driveways.

Assorted items were taken from the vehicles including a pocketbook, a GPS unit, credit cards and cash.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Detective John Breen of the East Brunswick Police Department’s Investigative Division at 732-390-6990.

In addition, the police department is reminding residents to lock their car doors and not to leave valuables in their vehicles.
