'Suspicious' Package Contained Papers, Personal Items

A suspicious packaged found at Trinity Presbyterian Church this morning posed no danger.

Police say a suspicious package reported at Trinity Presbyterian Church this morning has been examined by the NJ State Police Bomb Unit and was not dangerous and contained personal items and papers.

The East Brunswick Police Department was investigating a suspicious package found at Trinity Presbyterian Church on Cranbury Road this morning.

Church employees and students and employees of the Hatikvah Charter School, which is housed in the church, were evacuated and moved to Central School.

The New Jersey State Police Bomb Unit responded and found nothing dangerous. The church and Hatikvah have returned to normal operations and the shelter in in place order for Central School has been rescinded, according to police.
