Three Pedestrians Hit by Car Friday

Three victims were taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital after being hit by a car on Dunhams Corner Road

A car hit three people walking in the crosswalk at the intersection of Colonial Drive and Dunhams Corner Road at 8:08 p.m. Friday.

According to police, a 2006 Nissan Murano being driven by Yao Han, of East Brunswick, was traveling west on Dunhams Corner Road when the three pedestrians, Ralph Rosenbaum, 58, Beatrice Rosenbaum 56, and Joel Rosenbaum, 19, were crossing the road. Police said Han failed to see the pedestrians and hit all three.

The victims were taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick by the East Brunswick Rescue Squad and the Robert Wood Paramedics to be treated for serious injuries. The road was closed for approximately three hours.

The accident was investigated by Patrolman Thomas Kienle and Patrolman James Angermeier of the East Brunswick Police Department’s Traffic Safety Section.  Anyone who may have witnessed the accident is asked to contact the East Brunswick Police Department’s Traffic Safety Section at 732-390-6969.
