Two Charged With Brookhill Road Residence Burglary

An adult and 17-year-old were charged with burglary after being found at Penn Station Newark with allegedly stolen property.

An East Brunswick resident and a teenager were charged with burglary and other crimes after they were found at Penn Station Newark with items stolen from a Brookhill Road residence, Tuesday.

According to police, a Brookhill Road resident reported that his home was burglarized sometime between the late morning and early afternoon on Tuesday. Later, NJ Transit Detective Dean Kenney stopped two individuals at Penn Station for an unrelated investigation and later learned that the pair was in possession of the items reported stolen from the residence.

East Brunswick Detective Ed Conlon and Detective Sgt. Joseph Alves continued the East Brunswick burglary investigation and charged Brian Flora, 39, and a 17-year-old juvenile with burglary, theft and criminal mischief. Flora also was charged with employing a juvenile to commit a crime.

Flora was transported to the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center in North Brunswick in lieu of 85,000 bail.  The 17-year-old was released to his mother at Penn Station, Newark.
