Woman Seriously Injured in Accident

Driver ran off the road and hit a brick mailbox on Dunhams Corner Road.

An East Brunswick woman was left in serious condition yesterday following an accident on Dunham’s Corner Road at 3:40 p.m. near the East Brunswick Parks department.

According to police, Mary Fregans, 52, was driving her 2011 Ford Mustang east on Dunham’s Corner Road when the vehicle left the road for an unknown reason. The vehicle then hit a brick mailbox and came to a stop in the front yard of a residence.

Fregans was given first aid by officers, the East Brunswick Rescue Squad and paramedics from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was transported to RWJ in serious condition.
