Woman Taken to Hospital Following School Bus Accident.

No students hurt after bus hits another car from behind.

A 75-year-old Milltown resident was taken to St. Peter’s University Hospital after the car she was in was hit from behind by a school bus at the intersection of Ryders Lane and Cranbury Road at approximately 2:35 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6.

Police said George Guise 83, of Milltown, was stopped in traffic on Ryders Lane at a red light in his 2005 Buick when he was hit from behind by a school bus driven by Edelyn Guzman, 34, of Perth Amboy.

According to police, Guzman had also stopped for the red light, behind Guise, then moved forward and struck Guise’s vehicle.

The bus had two 19-year-old students in it. One suffered a minor scrape but refused medical attention. A passenger in Guise’s vehicle, Dorothy Guise, complained of pain to her neck and back.  She was transported to St. Peter’s Hospital by TransMed with non-life threatening injuries.
