Woman Walks in on Burglar

A Hardenburg Lane resident discovered a burglar in her bathroom in the early morning hours of July 30.

Police are looking for a man they say was in the middle of robbing a Hardenburg Lane home when he was interrupted by a resident.

According to police, a resident who had fallen asleep in her living room awoke to some noises coming from the master bathroom at approximately 4:30 a.m., Monday, July 30.

Thinking it was her cat; she walked into the bathroom and discovered an unknown white male in his early 20s standing there holding a red baseball bat. She yelled at him and he fled the residence in an unknown direction.

He was described as a white male in his 20s, slim, dark hair, wearing shorts and a T-shirt.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Detective Daniel Unkel of the East Brunswick Police Department’s Investigative Division at 732-390-6990.

Probably the same guy that robbed the Elks, Lori's and Sir John's.

Hopefully someone's gonna shoot one of these would-be burglars dead one of these days. Time to take out the trash around EB.

What's interesting is, this is the same day we had our GPS stolen out of our car. We got home Sunday night at 9:30 and I left for work at 6:50am Monday and our GPS was gone..I wonder if it was related.
