Community Commendations, Turnpike Land on Tonight's Council Agenda

A handful of community groups will be recognized at the East Brunswick Township Council meeting scheduled for 8 p.m. tonight, Monday July 29.

The council will also amend a previously passed ordinance that transferred vacant parcels of East Brunswick land to the Turnpike Authority, the city of New Brunswick and the state Department of Transportation, as part of the ongoing Turnpike improvement project.

The amendment will straighten out which parcel of land is going to which entity, as the information was incorrectly presented in the ordinance, according to the council.

Council meetings are held at the township municipal building, located at 1 Jean Walling Civic Center.
