Council Approves 2012 Appointments

The Township Council appointed people to serve in various capacities for the upcoming year.

On Monday, the Township Council approved department heads and members of the Office of Emergency Management. Here is a list of some of this year’s appointments.

Township Council Committee appointments include Councilman James Wendell to the East Brunswick Planning Board and MC Housing and Community Development; Councilman Michael Hughes to the Water Policy Advisory Committee and the East Brunswick Museum Corp.; Councilwoman Camille Ferraro to the Recreation and Parks Advisory Board and Municipal Emergency Management; Councilwoman Nancy Pinkin to the Cable Television and Telecommunications Advisory Committee; and Councilwoman Denise Contrino to the Alliance for the Prevention of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse.

In addition, Gregory Potkulski was named director of the Department of Planning and Engineering and Nennette Perry was appointed as Public Agency Compliance Officer in the awarding of contracts.

For the Emergency Management Council, the Township Council made the following appointments: Austin C, Kosik Jr., coordinator of the Office of Emergency Management; Steve Zeidwerg, Deputy Coordinator; Steve Williams, Alert, Warning and Communications Officer; Ed Grobelny, Damage Assessment Officer; Joseph Woszczyna, EOC Operations Officer; Mary Kerslake, Emergency Medical Officer; Detective Sgt. Kevin Zebro, Emergency Public Information Officer; Capt. John Napoli, Evacuation Officer; Joseph Serrao, Fire and Rescue Officer; Kosik, Hazard Materials Officer; Deputy Chief William Krause, Law Enforcement Officer; James White, Public Health Officer; Thomas Williams, Public Works Officer; Kosik, Radiological Protection Officer; Nennette Perry, Records Management; L. Mason Neely, Resource Management Officer; Louis Figueroa, School Board Liaison; and Rachel Steinberg, Shelter, Reception and Care Officer and Social Services Officer.

Members of the Emergency Planning Committee will be Mayor David Stahl and Township Councilwoman Camille Ferraro.

Special Police Officers for 2012 will be: (Class II Armed) Tibor Berencsi, Benjamin Celano, Thomas Costello, Alan Demcoe, Arthur LeBuis and Raymond Rovira; (Class IA Unarmed) Eugene Bottiglieri, James Creegan, Ryan Fanstermaker, Gary Frank, Salvatore Georgianna III, and Christopher Kersulic; (Class IB Unarmed Matrons) Marie Larsen and Mildren Yuhas.
