Dunhams Corner Road to be Discussed at Monday Township Council Meeting

The East Brunswick Township Council will convene at 8 p.m. tonight.

The findings of a traffic study of Dunhams Corner Road will be a featured topic of discussion at tonight's Township Council meeting.

Director of Planning and Engineering Greg Potkulski will present the findings of a study on the busy road and is expected to make a recommendation to lower the speed limit there, according to Township Clerk Nennette Perry.

Dunhams Corner Road at Hardenburg Lane was the site of a fatal accident this past September that resulted in a husband and wife being struck and killed by a driver who lost control of her vehicle.

Sari F. Horowitz and her husband, Ari D. Horowitz, both 51, were walking home from Young Israel when they were struck. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Three additional pedestrians, including the couple's adult son, and the driver, Naglaa H. Armanious, 49, of East Brunswick, were also injured in the accident.

In October, Potkulski made a recommendation to the council to consider making changes at the intersection to improve safety conditions there.
