Sen. Buono Criticizes Ryan Pick

Senator says New Jersey will support President Obama in November election

Sen. Barbara Buono, D-Middlesex, made the following statement following the introduction of U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan as the Republican Vice Presidential nominee.

In picking Paul Ryan, the Romney campaign is doubling down on the failed Republican fiscal policies of the past that lead to our current economic woes.

Failed policies that would provide massive tax cuts to the rich while raising taxes on the middle class and gutting Medicare, Pell grants and clean energy investments. If Governor Christie had delusions of delivering New Jersey for his buddy Mitt Romney, those hopes have been completely decimated by the addition of Paul Ryan to the Republican ticket. New Jerseyans know that President Obama is their best choice come Election Day.
