Churchill Students Place Third at MCC Science Olympiad

The event featured top science teams from middle and high schools around the state.

A team of students from Churchill Junior High School took third place in the Middle School Division at the 21st Annual State Finals of the New Jersey Science Olympiad at Middlesex County College on Tuesday.

Approximately 1,200 students from 26 middle schools and 26 high schools around New Jersey competed in Tuesday's event, according to Middlesex County College.

Tuesday's finals featured top teams who had won at regional tournaments earlier this year, according to the college.

Community Middle School and West Windsor Plainsboro South came out on top at the finals, and they will progress to the national championships at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio in May, according to the college.
